Halloween 2009

We haven't been home for Halloween for three years because the RZIM event is always that weekend. So this year we were in Phoenix for Halloween and it was too warm for Anders to wear his fleece pumpkin outfit but luckily his Grandma gave him a pumpkin onesie...

Our trip to Phoenix

Todd was working again at the Founders Weekend for Ravi Zacharius International Ministries last weekend and Anders & I decided to go along. The event was in Phoenix so it was our first experience flying and staying in a hotel with Anders. We planned to get to the airport early to have plenty of time to get our luggage checked in and get through security, but instead we over slept and praise GOD Anders woke me up 20 minutes after we had planned to be out the door. But we made our flight and Anders did such a great job. There were about 5-6 babies on the flight all around us and all of them did really well. The decent was rough and I almost threw up but Anders did great!

Then we got to the hotel and I swear Anders loved the bed (don't worry he didn't sleep in it at night) but here he is so happy and stretching out...

Sip & See in Georgia

Last weekend Katie & Mom threw us a "Sip & See" in Georgia and my friends & their parents got to come meet Anders. It was SO great getting to see everyone - especially fun to see Ashley's baby girl & Audrey's two children. It is SO crazy to see us all as mothers!

Haley's HALLOWEEN party

This weekend we went to GA for Haley's Halloween party and a sip & see party for everyone to meet Anders (those pictures will come another day). But the Halloween party was so much fun -- Michael & Julie had set up several activities for the kids including painting pumpkins, making pasta noodle necklaces, decorating sugar cookies, and then there was a huge inflatable bouncer and the "bubble man". It wasn't the best weather for an outdoor party but the kids were distracted from the cold dreary weather & having fun anyway. Anders wore his pumpkin outfit & we did a horrible job taking pictures, so I don't even have a good one of him in it -- but trust me, he was SO cute :)

Dinner with friends

Todd was in Chicago this past weekend and brought home a frozen Chicago style pizza (so yummy!). So last night we had Sarah & Jeremy over for dinner. They are closing on a new home this Friday and moving in on Monday. So all of us are having to make furniture decisions and pick paint colors! I am going to try to help with some painting over the weekend and then Todd will help them move in on Monday.

Anders survived his 2 month Dr. appointment...

Anders had his 2 month check up on Monday morning. Todd was still out of town so Mom & Dad went with us to the dr's. Anders weighs 13 pounds & 1 ounce and is 24.5 inches long. He had to get several vaccinations but was such a champ. He just screamed when he was pricked by the needles but then fell back asleep very quickly and was out for awhile. Here he is with Papa still sound asleep when we got home...
