Anders' Haircut

We have been disappointed with the haircuts Snip Its (a kids haircut salon), and did not know where to take Anders for his next haircut.  His hair was SO shaggy, and it finally came time to figure out something.  His hair looks pretty good in this BEFORE picture, but it was rarely looking this good anymore.  And after 5 minutes of playing outside, he would have such a sweaty, wet head.  So it was definitely time for a short, summer do.  I ended up taking him to my hairdresser (been going to her for about 8 years & she did my hair for my wedding) at a very trendy, grown-up salon.  It was risky taking him into this posh, peaceful environment with the potential of him getting crazy and fussy.  But he was amazing!  Heather (my hairdresser) said that he was the BEST little boy haircut that she had ever experienced.  It is decided that EVERY penny of this not-so-cheap haircut was well worth it!  He had a good time, and he got a hugely superior haircut...he smiles and laughs whenever we talk about Miss Heather, so I don't think he'll mind going back!

BEFORE:
Showing me his teeth & being a ham...
 Letting Heather cut away...
Look at all those hair-chunks on his arms and on his cape.  She cut for 40-45 minutes (and yes, he is playing with Heather's iPhone)...
 AFTER picture with Heather...
Heather gave him a special treat - a sucker that made him

Anders is 22 months old

Anders is 22 months old and at SUCH a fun age!  He is talking more and more, and he does a pretty good job getting his thoughts and requests across.  He LOVES tractors (which to him is any yellow machinery or riding lawn mower).  He wants to drive all the time, especially if it is a truck.  He sings all the time, and sings along to the Praise Baby video REALLY well.  He wants Todd & I to sing along too, so we have such sweet moments of singing worship songs while driving down the road.  Anders sings along through out most of the songs and does really well on the choruses.  He is becoming such a big boy.

GOLF

Aunt Katie & Uncle Chip gave Anders a golf set for Christmas, and we quickly learned it needed to be stored in the garage for outside play.  So now is the weather & time to play outside, and Anders LOVES it.  He asks to play everyday.  Yesterday morning when I went up to get him out of his crib, the first thing he said to me was "ball, ball" and pointed to the backyard.  He doesn't want to hit the ball with the club, but just likes running around with the clubs and pulling the cart around.

Memorial Day - Pool Party at the Goodrich's

On Memorial Day we had three parties to attend and the pool party at the Goodrich's was the first (and the most fun).

Swimming with Daddy...
 Elisa & Tripp...
Anders going down the slide for the first time and not exactly sure what to think...
 Quickly decided he LOVED it...
Todd's 30th birthday had been on Saturday but he was out of town, so we celebrated with a cake at the party...

Air Show - May 7th

Nashville had an Air Show over Mother's Day weekend and we took Anders.  Honestly I was hoping it would be a father/son event, but ended up going and having a lot of fun.   I think it may become a tradition for every year!  Anders loved seeing the planes and jets fly by, and he got to climb into a helicopter and a military carrier.

Covering his ears when the stealth jets flew by...

Tired from walking around, I ended up joining Anders in the wagon (it was dreary & drizzly through out the morning, so that is why I am covered in a blanket).
Anders wanted me to wear Jeremy's hat (Jeremy & his dad came to the air show too)...
