Week 15

We had a week of really cold weather, then really warm weather, and now really rainy weather!  So after the few cold days that we were stuck inside, I got a little taste of what winter will be like -- we were all getting stir-crazy.  I am going to have to figure out fun, energy-burning activities and outings for Anders that I can do easily with Larsen...wish me luck!

 Anders took about 150 pictures one day this week (while I assisted).  He took MANY of Larsen, a few of Todd, and some of the house.  But several of Larsen turned out really good.  These two pictures were taken by our little photographer (shows that anyone can take a good picture with our camera)...

Finally a warm day, so we played outside ALL afternoon...

Anders learned how to roll down the hill and had a blast (got his jeans pretty muddy, but oh well!)...

Larsen Week 14

Pictures of Larsen from the week...

A couple days ago I wanted to take pictures of Larsen outside with the fall leaves.  I got this one picture before Bella and the dogs next door started barking, causing to Larsen to cry and never recover...maybe going to try again today, because it is a warm, sunny day!

Anders - big brother & such a big boy

Anders is 2 & 1/4 years old -- he is sweet, funny, crazy, trying, smart, independent, imaginative and LOVED.  He has continued to adjust well to Larsen and is sweet to her.  Larsen loves watching him...the other day we were all piled on our bed and Anders starting jumping which made her laugh.  So he kept jumping and she kept laughing -- it was hysterical!  Of coarse by the time I got up and grabbed the video camera, she stopped.  But it was so sweet to see them interact and have fun together.  

We are not close to having Anders potty trained, but he has done really well pooping on the potty recently. He has gone over TWO weeks with only one poopy diaper.  Here he is picking out a sticker for his potty chart...

 Larsen is about ready to start sitting in the bumbo, so I had it downstairs waiting for her to use.  But Anders found it and to my surprise he fit!  He sat in it until he was about 1 year old -- at that point his legs were so chunky it looked cruel the way were we wedging his legs in there and then prying him out.   

 After a shower and being lathered with lotion the bumbo stuck to him...he thought it was funny at first, but didn't like it when I grabbed the camera.

 Two things that happen now that I have two children to watch over: 

1) We stay in our PJs all day long more often.

2) Anders gets outside while wearing his PJs & instead of chasing him down to put on clothes and shoes, I just let him run around crazy.

Larsen Week 13 - Oct. 31st-Nov. 6th

Praise Jesus, I am finally caught up with my blog entries -- and from now on I can strive to keep up and be current, instead of getting a couple months behind!

Halloween 2011

On Sunday afternoon we went down to the neighborhood "Truck Or Treat."  Anders was pretty shy, but did a good job saying "Trick Or Treat!"  Then on Halloween evening we went to 4 houses around us for more trick or treating.  Anders wanted to walk into each house and explore.  

Anders picked out his Halloween costume -- he made a pretty cute Tow Mater.

Larsen Week 11 - Oct. 17th-23rd

I must have had a busy week, because I did not have many pictures to use for this week 11 blog post.

Larsen Week 10 - Oct. 10th-17th

  During this week, Larsen had her two month check up.  She is a healthy, growing baby.  Her stats continue to follow the curve for being 50% on height and a little above 50% on weight:

8/12/11     20.2 inches & 7.1 lbs

9/9/11    21.5 inches & 10.8 lbs

10/10/11     22.5 inches & 11.5 lbs

 Anders wanted to feed Larsen, so he climbed up on the couch and pulled the boppy around him.  I asked him "Are you sure you want to feed Larsen?" And he replied while pointing, "This side"...I was thankful that he didn't pull up his shirt and try to figure it out!
