Playing out in the snow

So it snowed some more thru the night & more this morning. The ground is covered & it is beautiful! I tried measuring how much snow there was & got 3-4 inches depending on where I measured.

So first we went out in our PJ's...

Then we bundled Anders up and took him outside to hang out with the neighbors. The kids (and adults) were outside sliding down our street. Note that we didn't have gloves for Anders' sweet little hands so we put socks on them :)

SNOW DAY!

So it started snowing this morning around 9:30am and it hasn't stopped all day long. Not sure how many inches we have so far but my guess is at least two inches! This afternoon Todd & Bella went outside to run around and play, but Anders and I stayed inside where it was warm.

Eating rice cereal was a HIT!

WARNING: lots of pictures, I just couldn't pick any fewer because there were SO many cute pictures!

So this afternoon we introduced Anders to solid foods -- well as solid as rice cereal mixed with breast milk is. Here is his first spoonful...

And his first reaction -- puckered lips & not sure what he thinks...

Then he quickly decided he liked it & would help the spoon get to his mouth. Also if I didn't get the next spoonful in his mouth quick enough, he would start fussing.

ALL DONE!

My Mom & Dad are in Mexico and therefore not getting daily phone calls with the Anders updates, so I know they are anxious to see how Anders has grown while they have been away. So these are random pictures from the week...

I just fed rice cereal to Anders for the first time so I will try to get that blog out tonight (there are VERY cute pictures), but Anders and I are off to shop. The cabinet/painter guys are here and we need to get out of the house before they start the touch up painting on the cabinets. We don't want to be breathing in the fumes.

Anders is my model

So this morning Anders & I went to a "New Moms" bible study. And after he started making too much noise for me to keep him with me, he went to the nursery. It was my first time dropping him off and leaving him in childcare -- he did wonderful, but I missed him & thought about him the whole time! When I rushed back to get him after the study was over, he was playing happily and doing just fine.

Then later tonight in his robot pajamas....

We got a new camera

After seeing the difference in the quality of pictures taken by our camera and my parent's, my brother's and Susan's camera (they all have nice camera's), we broke down and got a new camera. We decided it would be better to get a faster camera now before Anders starts moving even more. We just don't want to miss anything right now!

Roll-over Machine

Okay so Anders has not liked tummy time & therefore hasn't rolled over very often. Until this morning, I could count the number of times he had rolled over on one hand and he hadn't rolled over since before Christmas. So this morning he was liking his tummy time & rolled over SO many times - from back to tummy and tummy to back both ways. I was so proud and called him my "roll-over machine"...

Tonight we decided to come home early from running errands because it started snowing again and we didn't want to get stuck out on the roads. We have a long list of things to do around the house but chose to be lazy instead and it's been wonderful. Anders & Todd had some sweet snuggle time...

First SNOW day

So it snowed today & we got only a half an inch of snow - so no snowmen or snow ball fights this time. But we have a huge ice patch at the end of our drive way which caused us to miss our house and turn around down the street to try again. It has continued to snow more tonight so we might have more coverage by morning.
