Picnic at the park

Last Friday we joined Leah and her family at Centennial Park for a picnic and playing.  Both our husbands are "out on the road" so getting together and doing something fun is always good for both of us!  Leah's son Isom is SO sweet to Anders.  And even though he is older, they play well together.  The kids flew kites, kicked the soccer ball, played on the playground and an exciting side note -- Anders peed on a tree for the first time!

Easter

This is a picture of Larsen & Aunt SuSu on Saturday after the Easter Egg hunt...

Easter morning I scrambled to put Easter baskets together for the kids (luckily my mom had given Easter baskets more thought than me, and had sent up a Max & Ruby Easter book and dolls).  But I pulled from Anders' potty training prizes that I keep hidden away in our closet, and he got a Berenstain Bears book, Veggie Tales movie, Charlie the train (for Thomas train table), Max and three eggs with candy.  Larsen got her Ruby doll and three empty eggs just for filler & looks...

Eating Easter lunch at J. Alexanders with Sarah & Jeremy and Aunt Susu...
(Mark & Anna gave her the adorable smocked dress, so beautiful!)
 Asleep on the way home...
Unfortunately we have NO family pictures, maybe next year we'll make it happen!

Easter Egg Hunt

Aunt SuSu & I hurried all morning to get both kids out the door, but even with her help we were running late.  (Most likely because I changed Larsen's outfit 2-3 times...I had outfits picked out for brother & sister to be cute and color coordinating.  But then decided it was too cool outside and her cardigan-sweaters were too big.  So I scrambled to find just the right option before giving up and just throwing clothes on both kids!)

Larsen hung out in the stroller watching the kids and festivities...
Anders searching for eggs (not hard to find them, the grassy area was COVERED)...

Smiling for the picture in exchange for another piece of candy...
Most of his eggs had quarters and money in them (he even got a dollar bill).  So I joined the search to help Anders find eggs that had candy in them.  Although I was tempted to say "forget candy, find us more money!"...
 Let's see...
 More MONEY!
The church had a petting zoo with a variety of birds, farm animals & reptiles...this year Anders was MUCH more interested in seeing and touching the animals.  His friend Tripp joined us for the egg hunt and he is sitting next to him in these pictures.
Waiting for the next animal to come around...
Anders got to hold a baby chick...
So he thought he should get to hold the baby bunnies too!
He touched the lizard and the snake (this picture shows the lizard tail that he touched, actually grabbed)...
Soft baby duckling...
It was a VERY fun, busy morning.  Just think, next year Larsen will be running around hunting for Easter eggs too!

Couple pictures from my phone...

Here are a couple pictures from my phone that make me smile...

It was our normal night-time routine: I was nursing Larsen to sleep (can't you tell?) and Anders was sitting on the bed with us watching TV.  While Anders was sucked into the TV show, Larsen made her move.  This smile was the immediate satisfaction she felt...

I pulled out my phone to take a picture of them side by side in the stroller with Anders asleep, so cute right?  But as I clicked the camera this happened...
Sad side note: this is the last picture taken of Froggie.  He was lost on this very afternoon, probably at TJ Maxx or Ross...Anders handled it MUCH better than expected and has only mentioned him a few times.

Another series of photos -- breakfast this morning

"Yum...blueberries & apples sound delicious!"
"Stop taking pictures and just FEED me!"
Much better...

"If I could reach just a little further...I could have oatmeal and apple juice!"...
"uhm...wonder what I am having for lunch?"

 Leaning back and laughing...

So sweet...
