Random pictures with Mommy & Daddy

I can't believe I am posting these lovely pictures of my greasy, morning hair -- but Anders was being so sweet and having so much fun holding my face and giving kisses...
Anders LOVES his airplane (it used to be Haley's) -- he loves pushing all the buttons on the plane and we hear the songs over & OVER...Todd now "flies" him around the room, which is too much fun!  In the first picture Anders is serious about his piloting, then he relaxes and is having fun!

Anders' First Haircut

We took Anders to Snip It's for his first haircut.  I wanted him to leave with just a trimmed-up, but still shaggy hair style.  But he got more cut off than planned.  It took me SEVERAL days to get used to his new do, but now I really do love the look on him.  I think Anders even missed his hair for several days, because he kept pulling on his short locks like he was hoping it would grow if he pulled hard enough.

Here he is SUCH a big boy sitting in his chair and ready for his haircut...(note: he didn't cry or pitch a fit at all, so impressive!)
All spiked up and ready to chop...
 Cutting...
 and cutting...
And cutting even more...
After his haircut was complete, Anders got a prize from the machine...a yellow rubber duckie!

Pre-haircut

I knew that Anders was going to get his first haircut soon.  So one morning after Anders finished eating his banana and yogurt for breakfast, I documented his long, shaggy, curls...

Pumpkin Farm -- Trip 2

Anders & I had so much fun at the pumpkin farm the first time, that we decided to go back with Todd & his mom a few weeks ago.  It was an ABSOLUTELY beautiful afternoon and we had a great time.

San Francisco - October 5th

We were in San Francisco together for only one full day, before I flew out the next morning.  So we quickly hit all of our favorites: Fisherman's Wharf to see the sea lions, rode a trolley car so we didn't have to walk back up the CRAZY steep roads, and then spent most of the day at the Marin Headlands in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area.  We love the views of the city and bridge from this park, and it also has a beautiful beach with surfers to watch.

Pebble Beach - October 4th

After working several days in LA for Carrie Underwood's Hollywood Bowl show, Todd met up with me for us to have a little vacation.   We spent a day together in LA, then drove up to San Francisco.  On our way north, we stopped thru the Pebble Beach area and drove the famous 17-mile drive.  The area is BEAUTIFUL and the kind of scenery that I LOVE.

Pumpkin Farm -- Trip 1

Back in September, Anders and I went to Honeysuckle Hill Farm with Elisa and Tripp.  I counted on my GPS to get us there and I got lost...so when we FINALLY got there, we were BOTH carsick from the country roads and snacking on Anders' crackers.  We said that either we would get there and think this was all a waste of time, or we would have a great time and decide that it needs to be a yearly fall tradition.  After maybe 2 minutes of being there, Elisa and I looked at each other and said "this is definitely a tradition!"  We had so much fun...while there the boys enjoyed looking that the animals (goats, pigs, cows, chicks, bunnies and sheep), picking out pumpkins, and riding the cow-train.  The farm had MANY other activities, but we ran out of time...some things will be great for years ahead when Anders is older.

Riding the cow-train, which was quite bumpy and thrilling in moments...
Watching the pig races, yes I said PIG RACES...too much fun!
